Commentary

The vowel and consonant correspondences within the Ugric languages are regular. All the cognates point to *e in the first syllable.

The Hungarian verbs téved and téveszt are derivatives of the Ugric stem.

Conclusion

A Proto-Ugric word can be reconstructed.
