Commentary
The Ugric etymology seems regular, as all languages point to Proto-Ugric/Proto-Uralic *ä; however Hu s from PUg *ć appears only in a few etymologies. Since there are no convincing Uralic etymologies with this correspondence, it is possible that *ć is an innovation introduced in the Ugric vocabulary.
