Commentary
The Hungarian word would be a completely irregular cognate of the Ob-Ugric words: both the word-initial b from *p and word-internal z from *s would be irregular developments. The Ugric etymology is considered uncertain by UEW and it should be completely rejected. The relationship between the Ob-Ugric words requires further research; Honti (1982: 179-180) considers the Khanty and Mansi words cognates.
